Features of the spray lubrication system

The oil mist lubrication system generally includes an oil mist host, oil mist conveying main pipe, the falling pipe at the lubricated equipment, oil mist distributor, oil mist nozzle, oil mist supply pipe, oil mist discharge collection assembly, oil mist discharge pipe, residual oil collection tank, ferrule joint, etc., and under special circumstances, there is also a purge type oil mist emission assembly, a purge type oil level observation assembly.

Oil mist lubricants are applied in the form of oil mist to rolling element bearings. In pumps and drives connected to the plant-wide oil mist system, neither oil rings nor constant level lubricators are used. Oil mist is the amount of atomized oil carried or suspended in a certain volume of pressurized dry air. The oil mist lubrication system plays the role of lubrication, cooling and chip removal during processing. The compressed air entering the system enters the oil drum cavity all the way, and the other way enters the atomization device and the lubricating oil in the oil drum cavity is mixed and atomized to form an atomizer. Pressurized compressed air, through the pipeline, the oil mist is transported to the cutting area of the drill, and the atomized lubricating oil absorbs the heat of the cutting zone, cools and lubricates the gun drill bit, and forces the chips to blow out of the working object.

Oil mist lubrication is suitable for the lubrication of closed gears, worm gears, chains, skateboards, guides and various bearings. At present, in metallurgical enterprises, oil mist lubrication devices are generally used for large, high-speed, heavy-duty rolling bearings.

Compared with other lubrication methods, oil mist lubrication has many unique advantages: 1. Oil mist can be dispersed with compressed air to all friction parts that need to be lubricated. In this way, a good and uniform lubrication effect can be obtained; 2. The compressed air has a small specific heat and a high flow rate, which is easy to take away the heat generated by friction. 3. Compared with the thin oil circulation lubrication system, the oil mist lubrication structure is simple and lightweight, the floor space is small, the power consumption is low, and the maintenance and management are convenient. 4 Because the oil mist has a certain pressure, it can play a good sealing role and avoid external impurities, moisture, etc. into the friction point.

Of course, we should also pay attention to some problems when using oil mist lubrication: in the exhaust compressed air, it contains a small amount of floating oil particles, which pollutes the environment and is not good for the health of operators. So we should add exhaust air and mist. Since the oil mist invades the motor windings, the insulation performance will be reduced and the service life of the motor will be shortened. Therefore, it is not suitable for motor bearings.

The working principle of oil mist lubrication: In order to transport the oil to the friction point, the oil must first be atomized very fine in a lubricating oil atomizing device. The surface tension of the atomized lubricating oil particles is greater than the attraction of the lubricating oil particles. This makes the finely atomized lubricating oil in a state close to gaseous. The atomized lubricating oil can be transported by the atomizing device through the distributor to the various friction points in this state. However, because the oil mist cannot produce the oil film required for lubrication after entering the lubrication point, the corresponding condensation nozzle should be installed at the lubrication point according to different working conditions, so that the oil mist forms drop-like oil particles after passing through the condensation nozzle.
