Advantages of pneumatic pumps

Pneumatic pump generally refers to pneumatic diaphragm pump, which is a new type of conveying machinery and is currently the most novel pump in China. The pneumatic pump uses compressed air as the power source, which can be pumped into all kinds of corrosive liquids, liquids with particles, and highly viscous, volatile, flammable and highly toxic liquids. With the gradual development of the domestic industry, the market share of domestic pneumatic diaphragm pumps has exceeded that of imported products. It is placed in various special occasions to pump a kind of medium that cannot be pumped by conventional pumps, and satisfactory results have been achieved.

The working principle of the pneumatic pump is to rely on compressed air as power, and when the diaphragm is under high pressure air, it moves to the designated position with the diaphragm. The valve controls the slow flow of compressed air into the space behind the diaphragm. After the compressed air pushes the diaphragm, it moves away from the intermediate, and the diaphragm moves to the intermediate by using the connection of the connecting rod. On the other side, the diaphragm uses the medium in the squeezed membrane chamber to flow hydraulically on the valve ball at the inlet, driving the contact between the valve seat and the valve ball to close the inlet pipeline. The hydraulic force acts on the ball valve at the outlet to open the outlet line. The ball valve at the outlet is closed after being pressured, and the ball valve at the inlet opens due to the pressure, and the liquid flows into the pump chamber. When the stroke ends, compressed gas is filled again behind the diaphragm, the diaphragm begins to move towards the intermediate, and the rest behind the diaphragm is also discharged out of the pump.

The advantage of air-operated diaphragm pumps is that since air-operated pumps are powered by air, the flow rate automatically adjusts with the change of back pressure, making them suitable for medium and high viscosity fluids. The working point of the centrifugal pump is set based on water, if it is used for a slightly higher viscosity fluid, it is necessary to match the reducer or frequency conversion governor, the cost is greatly increased, and the same is true for gear pumps. In flammable and explosive environments, pneumatic pumps are reliable and cost-effective. Such as the delivery of fuel, gunpowder, explosives, because these cannot produce sparks after grounding; No heat is generated during work, the machine does not overheat; The fluid does not overheat because the diaphragm pump has minimal agitation of the fluid. The diaphragm pump is small and easy to move, does not require a foundation, occupies a very small floor, and is easy and economical to install. Can be used as a mobile material transfer pump. In hazardous and corrosive material handling, diaphragm pumps completely isolate the material from the outside world.

Pneumatic pumps can be used in many different industrial applications, especially those involving fluid transfer. The main application areas of pneumatic pumps and suitable fluids are as follows: acids, alkalis, solvents, suspended solids, dispersion systems in the chemical industry. Crude oil, heavy oil, grease, slurry, sludge, etc. in the petrochemical industry.
