Points to note when using a plunger pump

The plunger pump is a kind of water pump, the plunger is driven by the eccentric rotation of the pump shaft, reciprocating movement, and its suction and discharge valves are check valves. The piston pump is an important device of the hydraulic system. It relies on the piston to reciprocate in the cylinder block to make the volume of the sealing working cavity occur, so as to change to achieve oil absorption and pressure oil. Piston pumps are generally divided into single piston pumps, horizontal piston pumps, axial piston pumps and radial piston pumps.

When the plunger is pulled outward, the pressure in the working chamber decreases, the outlet valve is closed, and when the inlet pressure is lower, the inlet valve opens and the liquid enters; When the plunger is pushed inside, the working pressure rises, the inlet valve is closed, and when it is higher than the outlet pressure, the outlet valve opens and the liquid is discharged. When the drive shaft drives the cylinder block to rotate, the swash plate pulls the plunger out of the cylinder block or pushes it back to complete the oil suction and drainage process. The oil in the working chamber composed of the plunger and the cylinder bore communicates with the suction and discharge chambers of the pump through the oil distribution plate. The variable mechanism is used to change the inclination angle of the swash plate, and the displacement of the pump can be changed by adjusting the inclination angle of the swash plate.

The total stroke of the piston reciprocating motion of the plunger pump does not change, which is determined by the lift of the cam. The size of the oil supply per cycle of the plunger depends on the oil supply stroke, which is not controlled by the camshaft and is variable. The start of oil supply does not change with the change of oil supply stroke. Turning the plunger changes the end of the supply and thus the amount of oil supplied. When the plunger pump is working, under the action of the cam and plunger spring on the camshaft of the injection pump, the plunger is forced to reciprocate up and down, so as to complete the oil pumping task, and the oil pumping process can be divided into two stages: oil inlet process and oil return process.

The use of plunger pumps needs to pay attention to: 1. Check whether the plunger has scars and rust, and if necessary, replace the new product immediately. 2. Check the plunger vice fit. Insert the plunger end into the plunger sleeve and tilt it about 60°, if the plunger can slowly slide down under its own action to fit well. 3. Check the tightness of the plunger pair. Hold the plunger sleeve with your hand and plug the oil inlets at the top and side of the plunger with two fingers. Pull out the plunger with the other hand, feel a large suction force, relax the plunger and immediately retract into place, indicating that the plunger pair is well sealed, otherwise the plunger pair should be replaced. 4. Check whether the oil outlet valve pair pressure reducing ring belt is worn and has steps or scars. 5. Check the cooperation of the oil valve pair. Block the lower hole of the oil outlet valve with your finger, use your other finger to gently press the oil outlet valve down, when the finger leaves the upper end of the oil outlet valve, it can automatically spring back to the original position, indicating that the oil outlet valve pair is well sealed, otherwise the oil outlet valve pair should be replaced immediately.
